Mission Trip Opportunity to Lumberton, North Carolina
We have an exciting mission opportunity for folks in our Association. There are many people in the eastern part of our state who are still recovering from recent hurricane devastation and we want to take a team of men and women March 18-22, 2019 to do clean-up and some construction in Lumberton, NC. This trip will not cost you anything as all supplies, lodging, and food will be provided free of charge through our partnership with Baptist on Mission. If interested, please call our CRBA office at 828-437-0137 for more information and to register.
CRBA will be hosting a Community Night of Prayer on the National Day of Prayer May 2nd from 7 to 8 p.m. at the chapel of the Waldensian Trail of Faith in Valdese. This will be a great time of worship and prayer as we seek the Father for help in our community. This is a free event (no offering will be taken) where pastors and community leaders will be leading this special time of prayer.
Faith Fellowship is one of our newly affiliated churches. Pastor/planter, Chris Herring, recently went through a week of church planter training with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Faith Fellowship meets at Badin Lake Family Restaurant on Sunday nights. Pray that they walk in faith and obedience to the Holy Spirit’s leading and that the Lord uses them to gather people to fearfully seek Him.

Creative Outreach Ideas to help churches reach communities for Christ
Prayer Cards to Prepare for Easter
Our best gift to our neighbors is prayer. Starting seven weeks before Easter, ask your people to fill out Prayer Cards with the names of seven friends they’ll pray for and invite to this year’s Easter service. Ask them to fill out two cards: one to keep, and one to turn in, so your church can pray with them for their friends. Nothing tills the soil of a human heart like prayer.
In partnership with the Baptist Foundation of North Carolina, we are offering assistance for ministers and their spouses for the purpose of preparing Wills and Estate Planning. In addition, the first 10 couples scheduling their free one-hour appointment will be awarded $100 to help with any legal fees. To Schedule your 1-hour appointment February 18th or 19th please call our CRBA office at 828-437-0137. We have one spot still open on Monday at 8 p.m.
