saturate burke

We are excited to partner with Saturate USA to pray for every home in Burke County and to give them (every home) a gospel tract and a DVD of the Jesus film which can be streamed and is available in several languages. If your church would be willing to adopt a section of Burke County to distribute these packets door to door (not door-knocking, just putting the bag on the door handle) please call our CRBA office. All materials are free of charge and are customizable. The goal is to have everything distributed by Easter this year. The maps and DVDs will be distributed to our pastors on March 3rd at noon at our CRBA office. Call our office for more information and alternate pickup days/times.

Cakes for

Every April, we encourage our churches to buy at least $100 worth of grocery store gift cards and bring them to the CRBA office so that we can distribute those to the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC. This year, in addition to the gift cards, we are asking individuals to make cakes for the children. On May 2nd, we will collect the cakes at our CRBA office from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and then we will deliver them to some of our NC Baptist Children’s Homes. These cakes will be put into large freezers. On each child’s birthday, they will pick out their birthday cake. The remaining cakes will be used for deserts at the children’s homes. Please help us spread the word about this new ministry opportunity!

Adopt a Local School Band or Chorus for a Year

Many churches will provide ministry to local football teams but few minister to local Middle and High School Bands and Choruses. Here are a few ideas:

  • Invite them to sing or play a concert at your church
  • Provide (deliver and serve) bottles of water at a rehearsal
  • Provide a meal
  • Send encouragement cards to the directors
  • Ask the director how your church could serve them and make a difference in the lives of the students
