“Fill the Tank” is a statewide emphasis to see believers baptized on September 12th. Emphasizing baptism on a specific day is a great way to encourage new believers to take the next step of obedience and faith while displaying a picture of the gospel to others. For more information on this important event and to register your church please go to www.fillthetanknc.org.
We are happy to announce LoveLOUD is back. Mark your calendars, the week of August 16 is LoveLOUD. During that week our churches will partner together to provide lunch for the staff of every Burke County Public School. The schools yet to be adopted are:
Burke Virtual Academy |
EBHS |
FHS |
Hildebran |
WJMS |
We are asking our CRBA churches to “Adopt a School” and provide lunch on a designated day (to be determined by the school system). Churches will be asked to deliver the meal on a certain day and time and each participating church will purchase food from Chick-fil-A. Each meal will cost $6 per person (price includes tax) and CRBA will handle the ordering of food. Churches will be responsible for drinks. If your church wishes to participate but is not financially able to purchase the food, please let us know and CRBA may be able to help.
Call us today to adopt your school.
Mission Trip to Kenya
We continue to be excited for our upcoming mission trip to Kenya from October 26 thru November 5th. We have a team of 12 people representing 6 churches.
If you are unable to travel to Kenya but wish to participate,
consider helping us with one of four projects:
- We will be building four houses/house churches costing a total of $1,600. You can donate enough for the house ($400) or you can buy a wall ($100). These houses are for widows in villages that will also be used as houses of hope/church plants).
- Pastor’s Conference –We will be hosting (and leading) pastor training in Kisumu, Kenya which will cost up to $2,000 for supplies and food for the Kenyan pastors who will be trained.
- Buy a suit for one of 21 pastors @ $40 each
- Buy a bicycle for a pastor @ $100 each
The above are great projects for Sunday School Classes, families, and churches to participate in. Also, if your church does not have plans for your church’s VBS offering, consider using it to meet some of the above mission needs.
This Summer’s VBS Schedules
It’s not too late to enter your church’s information for VBS. You may e-mail the CRBA (admin@crbanc.org) or call (828-437-0137). This publication goes out each Thursday. Entries must be in by the Wednesday before.
