Goodbyes and Welcome

We are sad to say goodbye to Ashleigh Thompson, who, for the last two years, faithfully served as Ministry Assistant for our Association. She and her family have moved to Florida, where Drue, her husband, now serves as pastor. While we are sad to say goodbye, we are happy to introduce Veronica Klapp as our new Ministry Assistant. Veronica and her husband Greg (Pastor of Children and Families at Burkemont Baptist in Morganton) have served in Burke County for decades, and they have 4 children. Veronica has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from ASU. We are grateful for her ministry, and she is willing and able to assist our churches. If you happen to be near our CRBA office, please stop by and welcome Veronica.

CRBA Students Minister in Lumberton

Over 70 students from churches in our Association traveled to do mission work in Lumberton, NC in October. Thank you students (and leaders) for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
Grilling season may be coming to an end, but your propane tank can still be used to bless others. At this year’s upcoming Toy Store Ministry, we will be providing counseling and prayer for each Toy Store guest, which will take place outdoors. We have acquired six patio heaters but will need propane tanks. If you would allow us to use your available propane tank(s) during the first half of December, please give us a call at our CRBA office. Each year we experience dozens of people coming to faith in Christ, and this is another way you take part. As always, we need volunteers, but we also need your propane tanks. All borrowed tanks will be returned at the end of the Toy Store.

Out of the Box (1)

Consider hosting a men and boys hunting weekend/tournament. This type of event will not only draw Christian men and their sons, but it will also give those men opportunities to invite fathers and sons who have yet to be reached for Christ. Spend time emphasizing gun safety but give plenty of time for hunting and even give out awards. Be sure to also spend time sharing testimonies, and devotions and giving adequate time to sharing God’s plan of salvation.
