CRBA September 7, 2017
OOPS………………..! Last week we inadvertently listed the wrong time. Our next Minister’s Wives Fellowship will be tonight, Thursday, September 7th at 5:30 p.m. at Abele’s in Morganton. Our special guest for the evening will be Charlotte Orders who will share how God has been moving in her life. Please join us for this very special occasion.
All Royal Ambassador leaders are invited to attend a wonderful training/planning event at the Associational Office on Tuesday, September 12, at 6:00 p.m. We will discuss materials available, ideas for group activities, how to plan meetings, and how to develop and maintain boys’ interest in being a part of Royal Ambassadors. New leaders will also receive helpful information and materials that will make their work much easier as they strive to reach Burke county boys for Jesus. A light supper will be provided. Please contact Phillip Heavner, Associational RA Leader, to register, at 828-502-9318 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bro. Robby will teach on Sunday School Growth principals to help strengthen our churches in bible teaching methods and church growth beginning this Sunday, September 10th at 6 p.m. This important Sunday School Mentoring process is for any church desiring assistance in the area of Sunday School. This process will take 9 months and will cover a variety of Sunday School/Small Group topics. This year we will be meeting at East Valdese Baptist the second Sunday of every month at 6 p.m. After the first year of mentoring is completed we may offer it on a weekday night if there is enough interest. For more information, please give us a call at 828-437-0137.
This week is the deadline for the Bill Glass “Behind the Walls” ministry. They are looking for 90 men and 40 women who will agree to be trained on Friday, October 6th in Ashville and will then minister in nearby prisons. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn to share the Gospel and then have the opportunity to share what God has done in your life. In addition, they are looking for 41 people with motorcycles who would be willing to ride their bikes to the prison to minister. If you would like to help with this very important ministry opportunity please go to: http://bit.ly/2tw9fuT and click on Asheville.

• Corn Hole Set
• Approximately Fifteen Percent of baptisms come from Vacation Bible School.
• Research shows that the more Christian Camps a teen attends, the more likely they are to come to faith in Christ; and the more likely they are to be in church as adults.
• A direct correlation exists between the number of Adult Leaders enlisted and trained to work with students and children; and the number who come to faith and are baptized in a local church.
