| Let’s Celebrate Praise and Prayer  Thank you to everyone who participated in Praise and Prayer on the Square this past Sunday Evening. Our hearts were greatly blessed by the music and prayers of the saints of God. To God be the glory! Upcoming Opportunities Residency Project The Residency Project is kicking off again on August 22 at 8:00 AM. We’re excited to see how this new season will unfold! Stockings Needed  We’re collecting toys for our toy drive and need volunteers to help sew stockings. Your contributions will bring joy to children this holiday season. Join us in spreading cheer! Deadline Extended to Thursday August 22- Act Now! The Men’s Rally this quarter will be at Amherst Baptist Church on August 27th at 6:30pm. Our Guest Speaker will be an American college baseball coach and former shortstop named Rusty Stroupe. Stroupe was the head coach of the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs baseball team from 2003-2019. Golf Tournament  This year’s “Toy Store” Golf Tournament will be excellent again as it is designed to help raise money to purchase toys for families in need at Christmas. To help us, we are asking businesses and churches to hole sponsors. The sponsorships are as follows: $100: Silver Sponsor (one sign will be placed on the course in honor of the sponsor’s name/church/ or business) $250: Gold Sponsor (three signs will be placed on the course in honor of the sponsor’s name/church/ or business) $500: Platinum Sponsor (three signs will be placed on the course in honor of the sponsor’s name/church/ or business, one free team submission, and special recognition in CRBS’s publications)This is for a great ministry and I hope each of our CRBA churches will plan to participate and become a “hole” sponsor. Out of the Box Idea Tutor homeschooled kids (idea from www.pushpay.com) Homeschooled kids go “back-to-school” in the fall, too. Many homeschooled kids have incredible support at home from their parents. But not all do. If there are homeschool families at your church, they may know other homeschoolers outside of your church who could use some extra help. This could be a good way for youth leaders, college students, or even other homeschool parents to develop relationships with unchurched kids. Partner News Salem Fire requests School Supply Donations  The Salem Fire Department is requesting the help of local churches to donate school supplies for their Back to school Bash. They are currently seeking donations of school supplies to fill the 100 backpacks generously donated by Case Farms. Salem fire district includes two elementary schools, Salem and Mull, and they hope to provide essential supplies for students in the community. Regional Rallies in August- You are Invited!  On August 19, 20 and 22, Baptists on Mission will host a series of Regional Mission Rallies across the state. These rallies (10 of them) are a great way to get your church aware of and involved in Missions! Check the link below for the location that is closest to you. The rallies will highlight the variety of opportunities you and your church have to be involved in missions. There will be worship, short testimonies, mission videos, and a prayer time for missions. Everyone interested in missions is encouraged to attend. A main focus of these rallies will be state, national, international mission opportunities (including Disaster Relief) and the NC Missions Offering. A meal is provided at the Mission Rallies at no charge, but reservations are necessary to ensure an accurate meal count. The cut-off date for reserving a meal for each Rally is one week prior to the event. To register, click on the link below, then click on the “Details/Register” button of the regional rally that you want to attend and register the number of people who will be coming with you.
