A heartfelt thank you to Zion Baptist Church for graciously hosting the Mission Breakfast for women and girls last Saturday. The food was delicious, and the hospitality was truly exceptional.We also want to extend our gratitude to our incredible Women’s Ministry Team for their dedication in planning and executing this beautiful event. It was truly inspiring to see over 100 women come together, sharing God Stories and discovering how to live on mission for Christ. To God be the glory! Mission Trip for Women and Girls- Last Chance to RSVP ![]() Join us for a meaningful mission trip to the Copper Basin Crisis Center, where we’ll distribute the socks and underwear collected by the CRBA! This is a wonderful opportunity for mothers and daughters, a Girls’ Sunday School class, or a women’s group to serve together. The group will depart on Friday, March 7, at 12:00 PM. This is evident in the number of young adults walking away from the church and their faith. It is time to change the Scorecard!Join us for this 3-hour training to learn how to incorporate family ministry into the DNA of your church to equip parents to confidently disciple their children and teens. This event will be hosted at four different locations throughout the year. The event is $15 dollars per person, max $50 dollars per church. This event is being held at 4 different locations: – March 1st, Sanford NC – March 22nd, Charlotte NC – September 6th, Black Mountain NC – October 18th, Raleigh NC Preaching Workshop offered by Southeastern Seminary On March 20th, our office is hosting a preaching workshop focusing on the book of Joshua on the campus of Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. This workshop is designed to help pastors become more effective communicators and expositors of God’s Word. Specifically, this workshop will cover how to preach through the book, how to deal with issues of interpretation, and how to preach Christ from the book of Joshua. Workshop Details: Date: March 20, 2025 Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm, with lunch included Tickets: $25, plus taxes and fees Location: SEBTS campus Each participant will receive: A copy of Christ-Centered Exposition: Exalting Jesus in Joshua Book of Joshua scripture journal Decisional Preaching by Jim Shaddix Lunch This year our featured speakers include: Dr. Robert Smith Jr. (Author of Christ-Centered Exposition: Exalting Jesus in Joshua)Robert Smith, Jr., served as professor of Christian preaching at Beeson for more than 25 years and held the Charles T. Carter Baptist Chair of Divinity. Previously, he served as the Carl E. Bates Associate Professor of Christian Preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Allan Moseley Dr. Allan Moseley is the Senior Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Since 2010, Dr. Moseley’s work at Southeastern has been exclusively teaching courses in Old Testament and Hebrew. In addition, he serves regularly as an interim pastor, and for ten years was the pastor of Christ Baptist Church in north Raleigh. Dr. Jonathan Akin Dr. Jonathan Akin is the Vice President for Church Relations and Campus Ministries at Carson-Newman University. He also serves as the Director of a pastor training program for the North American Mission Board called “Leadership Institute” and as an adjunct Old Testament professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. |
