| Let’s Celebrate Serve NC Training  It was a great blessing to have so many of our CRBA churches represented at last night’s Serve NC training. We were blessed to hear from Paul Langston and our Serve NC Coordinator, Micheal Pardue, on ways we can serve our local communities. Thank you, Veronica Klapp and Sharon Smith, for the wonderful food, and thank you, churches, for your willingness to serve our community. To sign up for Serve NC, please click here. Upcoming Opportunities Join Us in Making a Difference This April  The CRBA is rallying support for the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC by collecting grocery gift cards. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of children in need. Let’s come together to provide essential support and nourishment for those who need it most. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community New CRBBI Class Starting April 8 Come learn tools for preparing to teach God’s Word to God’s people. This five-week class will seek to give you tools and resources that you can use to more effectively teach God’s Word in the local church. Make sure to bring a copy of the Bible and a notebook. Reister now! Schools of the Week We still have many Burke County Schools available for LoveLoud sponsorship.  Please join us in praying for these 4 schools and their staff this week: Forest Hill, Hillcrest, Oak Hill, Table Rock Middle. Fill the Tank Sunday Sunday, April 7th, 2024What if we could see thousands profess Christ through believer’s baptism on a single day? That’s the heartbeat behind the statewide “Fill the Tank” baptism emphasis.  We’re encouraging every N.C. Baptist church to fill their baptism tanks on April 7 and trust God to save people between now and then. Men’s Rally- Mark your Calendars Join us for an empowering Men’s Rally featuring guest speaker Jeff Smith from the Cowboy Church Network. Enjoy a BBQ dinner; donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the meal. Please RSVP by May 9th at noon to ensure we have enough food for everyone. This event promises to be an evening of fellowship, inspiration, and spiritual growth for men of all ages. Don’t miss out—reserve your spot today! Remember, this resource is provided free of charge to our CRBA churches because of the wonderful financial support of our churches. Out of the Box Idea Easter IdeaFree Photos – Enlist a photographer to take free family photos as people arrive at your community’s Easter egg hunt or Easter Service. Send the pictures and information about your church to families via email or, have them pick them up at the following week’s Worship Service. News from our CRBA Churches Mission Church has 28 pews available to someone who could use them. If you need one or all, they are available for free to any CRBA church, but donations are appreciated as this is a new church plant (formerly Coram Deo, merged with Southside to form Mission Church). Oak Ridge Baptist Church The Compassionate Heart Clinic of Oak Ridge is seeking patients (18 and older). Patients must have financial needs and be ineligible for Medicaid or Medicare. Call 828-522-1112 for more information. Set Free Christian Fellowship needs a 12-15 passenger van. If you have any information on a reliable, inexpensive passenger van, please call the CRBA office at 828-437-0137. Set Free invites adults ages 18 and up to a regular time of sports and fun. Mark your calendars for every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 4-8pm. We’ve got an array of activities lined up including cornhole, walking, basketball, volleyball, and live music to keep the energy high!  South Mountain Baptist Church invites you to a Good Friday Service on March 29th from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Location: 3676 US HWY 64 Morganton NC 28655Join SMBC for a time of worship and remembrance of what our Lord and Savior has done. There will be special music, a special message from guest speaker Rev. Chris Whisnant, and a communion as well. Whether you are a member at SMBC or not, we would love to have you join us as we celebrate and remember what Jesus has done. |
