These gardens not only supply fresh food to those in need but also serve as a meaningful outreach opportunity, enabling local churches to build relationships within the community and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are grateful for these youth and adults who gave up their Spring Break to be the hands and feet of Christ to the Shelby community. Timothy Project  We had a wonderful time of training and discussion at this month’s Timothy Project, where pastor Ethan Cromer shared on the topic of “Planning and Programming for Ministry”. The students were very engaged, for which we are very grateful. God is working in this great ministry, and we give Him all the glory. Cakes For Kids- A Sweet Success  We are thrilled to share that Cakes for Kids exceeded our goal of 300 cakes! Thanks to the generous support of our CRBA churches, we collected an incredible 335 cakes, now ready in the freezer for children to choose from on their birthdays and for dessert. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated CRBA Women’s Ministry Team and to every church that baked or bought cakes—your kindness is making a difference. To God be the glory! Food RoundUp Offering Update We’re grateful to report that the CRBA collected $2,340 in grocery gift cards and cash for the Food RoundUp initiative! Thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity will help provide much-needed support to the NC Baptist Children’s Homes. Upcoming DOM Search Team Please be in prayer for the Search Team for the Director of Missions position here at the CRBA. The members are: Luke Lane, Justin Cunningham, Lori Matthews, Stephen Collins, Gene Kirby, Sally Dixon. Marty Bess, and Jack Hodges. Men’s Rally- RSVP Due Next Week!  We are excited about our upcoming Men and Boys’ Rally at Zion Baptist on May 19th. We will eat a great meal, worship together, and then pastor Stephen Collins from Mount Calvary will preach from God’s Word. Lastly, there will be a drawing for a rifle (gift card), and you must be present to win. Please encourage yet-to-be-reached men and boys to attend this great evangelistic event. We sure could use your help taking small loads for disaster relief! If you have a goose neck and can help move timy homes we need you as well! NC Baptist on Mission Disaster Relief Training  Registration is open for 2025 dates The one day spring trainings are for anyone who wants to be certified for the first time or for those wanting to update their badge date. Fruitland Baptist Bible College, Hendersonville, NC – Saturday, May 17 ALL TRAINING REGISTRATION closes on the Monday prior to each training weekend. Please register for ONLY ONE area to be trained in. There isn’t enough time to take more than one class. Saturday: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm Cost is $40 per person NOTE ABOUT IN PERSON TRAINING: There will be no overnight lodging at the church. If you choose to overnight you will need to work out your own lodging and breakfast on Saturday. Lunch on Saturday is provided. You will arrive at the church to check in with your specific ministry group by 8:30 am. Some ministries will finish training before 3:00 pm. REGISTER HERE |
