Fly-In for CRBA Children and Youth %20(1).jpg) The CRBA Men’s Ministry is sponsoring a wonderful event for your family! Give your children a chance to fly in an airplane with experienced pilots. Spaces are limited to please register now. Meet the Pilot The pilots who participate in the Young Eagles program are local members of EAA who are volunteering their time and aircraft to make your flight possible. Each Young Eagles pilot is certificated with the Federal Aviation Administration or Transport Canada. Flights are conducted according to federal regulations, and no aerobatic maneuvers will be performed. A pilot’s complete youth protection training and vetted via a background check. What will the pre-flight be like? The pilot will explain what your child will see and do. This may include explaining how airplanes work, looking at an aeronautical chart (or map), and describing the interior of the airplane, including the instrument panel. Then comes the fun part: time to go flying!Safety RemindersSafety is always a top priority when it comes to aviation. Listen and follow instructions given by that pilot, stay away from the propellers, and stay with the pilot or ground crew at all times. Do not enter the ramp area unescorted. What will the flight be like? Young Eagles will spend about 15 to 20 minutes in the air and experience the awesome feeling of flight that many people only dream about. Many people remember this experience for the rest of their lives! Save the Date Transitional Interim Training  Transitional Interim Ministry training seeks to equip pastors and church leaders to help churches make the most of this transitional time period. During this training, you will be provided effective tools that can be used by either a traditional or a transitional interim pastor, as well as the pastor search committee. The training is two days, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with lunch and snacks provided. The $75 registration fee covers the meals, snacks and materials. Register here or by calling (828) 437-0137.
