This summer, the youth of our CRBA churches will serve by building handicap ramps during the day. In the evenings, they will minister through 5 free, community-wide block parties, which include food, fun activities, and a special bike giveaway. We need your help! Here is some information we have been provided by BOM: 100% of designated gifts given to Baptists on Mission’s Hurricane Helene or to ERR (Essential Rapid Repair) will be used in WNC. These are the accounts from which Baptists on Mission purchases nearly $1 million per month in building materials from home repairs.Designated gifts to Disaster Relief will be used for the Baptists on Mission response to a disaster, which may include Helene but is not limited to Helene. Gifts designated to Baptists on Mission will be used for support of the 19 ministries of Baptists on Mission. It can be used for Hurricane Helene or in a variety of other ways.North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) gifts provide 100% of the regular budget for the 19 ministries of Baptists on Mission. This is what allows us to use 100% of designated Hurricane Helene or ERR gifts for that specific purpose.ServeNC donations are not specifically designated to be used in WNC and can be used anywhere in NC for a variety of projects. While these funds MAY be used in WNC, this is NOT the account from which Baptists on Mission purchases materials to repair homes.Cooperative Program (CP) gifts support the ministries of the Baptist State Convention of NC (NC Baptists). Baptists on Mission benefits from CP gifts but their regular budget is funded from the NCMO and not the Cooperative Program. CP gifts provide office space, benefits for some BOM staff (but not salary), and assistance from other NC Baptist teams like the accounting team. Cooperative Program gifts are critical and other Convention teams are fully supported by CP. If you have any questions regarding this or any other ministry please feel free to reach out to us. Help Defund Planned Parenthood ![]() Brent Leatherwood, President of the SBC Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC), asks for our help to spread the word about their big legislative push right now: getting Congress to actually defund Planned Parenthood. They have created a petition that has garnered thousands of names already –– and they would like to add more. The reason for this push is because Congress is officially on the clock, and they would like to get them as many names from Southern Baptist leaders, pastors, and believers as possible to show them this is a huge priority for our convention of churches. The letter is linked here. Brent asks us to please sign it and share it with our churches as soon as possible. Local Disaster Relief Site Needs Truck DriversDo you have a pickup truck?
