![]() ![]() Photo from the Wednesday Evening Service @ Walker Road Baptist Church From Michael…We had the privilege of joining the church family at Walker Road on Wednesday evening – 06.03. Pastor Mark Ball taught from John 15 on the importance of abiding daily in Christ. It was great to meet many from their church family and pray with them over the needs shared in the time. VBS decorations were already all around the Fellowship Hall as they look forward to VBS later in June. We are praying for God to use the ministry of VBS to do great things this summer! | From the Desk of your AMS (Associational Mission Strategist) June 10, 2026 SBCAL – Southern Baptist Conference for Associational Leaders Look at the schedule of any major conference center and you will likely discover all types of expected an unexpected conference gatherings. If you have an interest, there’s likely a conference for that field! For associational ministry leaders, SBCAL is one of just a few national gatherings of association ministry leaders. It is a place to network, hear from leaders in this ministry, and listen to how God is at work across the country. CRBA is grateful for our partnership with SBCAL, linking us together across the nation and in varied contexts, to better fulfill our mission. Over the last few days, Amanda and I were able to gain so much from SBCAL sessions – especially the sessions for new AMS leaders. It was great to connect with those serving churches all across the nation. Pray for those leaders who are standing alongside pastors and ministry leaders in sister associations across the SBC! On Wednesday evening, we are gathering at El Bethel with all of the amazing volunteers and students who made BurkeChangers happen! Praise God for all that He is doing among us. Michael R. | Quote of the Week “Discipleship involves waking up to the realization that there is a choice, and we must stay awake to the lordship of Jesus Christ long enough to make the right one: to obey, and thereby to exercise, like Jesus, genuine freedom.” Kevin Vanhoozer – Hearers and Doers: A Pastor’s Guide to Making Disciples through Scripture and Doctrine, p. 78. | |
