BurkeChangers Highlights

What an incredible week of ministry through BurkeChangers! A total of 267 CRBA students and adults were busy serving throughout Burke County, making a lasting difference in the lives of local families and sharing the love of Christ through their actions.

We are especially excited to celebrate that 6 individuals made decisions to follow Christ during BurkeChangers week! Praise the Lord for the life-changing work He accomplished through the willingness of these students and adults to serve their community.

These numbers only tell part of the story. Read the article in the “Ministry Opportunities” section below to learn more about all that God did through BurkeChangers this year

Photo from Burkemont Baptist Church – June 14 AM Service.

Michael shared a message from Acts 20-21 entitled “Counting the Cost.”From Michael…What a blessing to worship with the great church family at Burkemont Baptist on Sunday morning, June 14! Amanda and I attended a Sunday School class – studying Joshua 2. What a great worship service with so much participation!! We celebrated together the praise reports from BurkeChangers and I had the privilege of preaching in the service. The Burkemont family surrounded Amanda and I in prayer as the service closed.
To God be all the glory for the good work He is doing in and through the Burkemont family!

VBS Spotlight
So many of us have wonderful memories of looking forward to VBS at our local church. We found what we thought was our line, confused over whether we were supposed to go the grade we just completed or the grade we would start after summer. Once inside, we eagerly hoped we’d be picked for a role in the opening assembly (now you can tell I grew up in church). With the songs and opening challenge complete, we filed out to begin the many exciting activities planned for the first day of VBS!

VBS may look a bit different in 2026 – but the impact of this summer program is undeniable! Studies consistently show that most Christ followers trust in Him before 18 (83%). If you are involved in kid’s ministry, you are making an eternal difference! Be encouraged in the work you are doing!

This newsletter highlights the many praises by some of our CRBA churches who already kicked off the summer with their VBS activities. Others are in the midst of that now. Still others will gather later in the summer. We look forward to hearing how God moves in your VBS. Please share your salvation stories – we’d love to put those exciting updates in future newsletters!

Quote of the Week
Our heart’s cry must continually be, “God, I want to make a big deal about You, in the way You want me to, with the people You have called me to. I want to be a good shepherd, a humble servant to these sheep, because every one of them matters. Every person in this congregation is wonderfully made in Your image and needs Jesus. Every believer here is precious because he or she is Your child, deeply loved, chosen in Christ.”
