Let’s Celebrate
CRBA Financial Lunch & Learn a Great Success!
IMG_4978
We are grateful for the fantastic turnout at this week’s CRBA Financial Lunch and Learn Seminar featuring Davis Blount from our Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. It was encouraging to see so many pastors, staff members, and church leaders come together with a shared desire to steward well the resources God has entrusted to our churches.
Davis provided clear, practical insight into financial best practices for ministry, and the time of Q&A was especially valuable. Participants were able to ask real-world questions about budgeting, accountability, reporting, and stewardship, all with the common goal of strengthening our churches for greater Kingdom impact. The room was filled with great discussion, a spirit of cooperation, and plenty of helpful tools to take back home. More importantly, the focus remained on why we do these things: so that every dollar entrusted to our congregations can be used effectively to reach our communities for Christ.Thank you to everyone who attended and made the day such a blessing. We look forward to offering more practical equipping opportunities in the days ahead as we continue partnering together for the sake of the Gospel.

Celebrating a Powerful Evening at the CRBA Men’s RallyMen's Rally 2025 Celebration
What an incredible night we shared at Monday’s CRBA Men’s Rally, graciously hosted by our friends at Mull’s Grove Baptist Church. From beginning to end, the evening was marked by fellowship, worship, and a strong movement of God’s Spirit.

A special thank you to Mull’s Grove for your warm hospitality. The meal you prepared was outstanding and set the tone for a night of encouragement and brotherhood. We are grateful for the hard work of everyone behind the scenes who helped make the rally such a success. The worship was wonderful and lifted our hearts toward the Lord, and Pastor Jesse Carr brought a powerful, inspiring message that challenged and strengthened all who attended. His preaching was both timely and Spirit-filled.

Most importantly, we rejoice that five individuals indicated they prayed to receive Christ during the rally. We give God all the glory for these decisions and ask you to join us in praying for these new believers as they begin their walk with Christ.

Thank you again, Mull’s Grove, and thank you to all the men who attended and participated. We look forward to seeing how God continues to work through the men of our Association as we pursue Him together.

Celebrating an Excellent Transitional Interim Training
Transitional Interim Training
This week, we were blessed to host an outstanding Transitional Interim Training event led by Allan Blume, former editor of the Biblical Recorder and a respected leader across North Carolina Baptist life. Allan’s wisdom, experience, and heart for the local church made this two-day event both practical and deeply encouraging. We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Their investment in helping us raise up and equip transitional interim pastors is already bearing fruit across our Association and beyond. With pastoral openings occurring regularly, these trained leaders play a vital role in strengthening churches, guiding congregations with clarity, and preparing them for their next season of pastoral leadership.

The sessions were rich with helpful tools, real-life examples, and valuable insights for navigating the unique challenges and opportunities that arise during pastoral transitions. Participants left feeling better prepared, more confident, and excited about how God may use them to bless churches in need throughout the Catawba River Baptist Association

A special thank you to Allan Blume for his excellent teaching and to our state convention partners for their continued support. Together, we are working to ensure every church in our Association has the leadership it needs to move forward in faith and mission.
