| Let’s Celebrate Ministry Assistant Lunch Although snapshots weren’t captured, the Ministry Assistant Luncheon was a resounding success! Laughter filled the room as everyone enjoyed a scrumptious meal, lively rounds of bingo, and the thrill of winning prizes. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Church Strengthening Team for orchestrating this delightful event, dedicated to honoring the invaluable work of all ministry assistants in our CRBA churches. We’re also grateful to Grace Baptist Church for graciously hosting and generously providing gifts for each wonderful lady in attendance. Baptism  We are praising God for the work He is doing at Set Free Christian Fellowship. They celebrated another baptism this past week. Glory to God! CRBA Gathers Grocery Cards for a Worthy Cause This Month  Keep the Generosity Going! This is the final week of April to collect grocery cards for the NC Baptist Children’s Homes. You can still bring your cards to the CRBA office until May 6 and we will deliver them to the Children’s Home. Cakes for Kids  We will be collecting birthday cakes to fill the freezer at the Children’s Home in Clyde. Children may go to the freezer to choose their cake on their birthday. Please wrap each cake in Saran Wrap and tin foil and place in a cake box. Please leave all decorations off of the top. They may be placed inside the box to be placed on the cake after thawing. You may pick up cake boxes at the CRBA. Schools of the Week We still have many Burke County Schools available for LoveLoud Sponsorship! Please join us in praying or these 4 schools and their staff this week: School for Math and Science, Hallyburton Academy, New Dimensions, NC School for the Deaf. If you would like to minister to a Burke County School in August, please give our office a call (828) 437-0137. Resource of the Week Spike Ball  We have great resources for our CRBA churches to use, including the popular Spike Ball Game. Out of the Box Idea Out of the Box Idea (Creative ideas to help churches reach our communities)Many times it’s difficult to find practical ways to be a blessing in your workplace. Recently, Josh Reeves posted some very practical ideas for blessing others in the workplace: 1. Instead of eating lunch alone, intentionally eat with other co-workers and learn their story. 2. Get to work early so you can spend some time praying for your co-workers and the day ahead. 3. Make it a daily priority to speak or write encouragement when someone does good work. 4. Bring extra snacks when you make your lunch to give away to others. 5. Bring breakfast (donuts, burritos, cereal, etc.) once a month for everyone in your department. 6. Organize a running/walking group before or after work. 7. Have your missional community/small group (Sunday School Class) bring lunch to your workplace once a month. 8. Make a list of your co-worker’s birthdays and find a way to bless everyone on their birthday. 9. Make every effort to avoid gossip in the office. Be a voice of thanksgiving, not complaining. 10. Offer to throw a shower for a co-worker who is having a baby. 11. Start a regular lunch out with co-workers (don’t be selective on the invites). 12. Organize a weekly/monthly potluck to make lunch a bit more exciting. 13. Ask someone who others typically ignore if you can grab them a soda/coffee while you’re out. 14. Be the first person to greet and welcome new people. 15. Make every effort to know the names of co-workers and clients along with their families. 16. Visit coworkers when they are in the hospital. 17. Bring sodas or work-appropriate drinks to keep in your break room for coworkers to enjoy. Know what your co-workers like. 18. Go out of your way to talk to your janitors and cleaning people who most people overlook. 19. Find out your co-worker’s favorite music and make a playlist that includes as much as you can (if suitable for work). 20. Invite your co-workers to the service projects you are already involved in. 21. Start/join a city league team with your co-workers. 22. Organize a weekly co-working group for local entrepreneurs at a local coffee shop. 23. Start a small business that will bless your community and create space for mission work. 24. Work hard to reconcile co-workers who are fighting with one another. 25. Keep small candy, gum, or little snacks around to offer to others during a long day. 26. Lead the charge in organizing others to help co-workers in need. News from our CRBA Churches Mission Church has 28 pews available to someone who could use them. If you need one or all, they are available for free to any CRBA church, but donations are appreciated as this is a new church plant (formerly Coram Deo, merged with Southside to form Mission Church). Oak Ridge Baptist Church The Compassionate Heart Clinic of Oak Ridge is seeking patients (18 and older). Patients must have financial needs and be ineligible for Medicaid or Medicare. Call 828-522-1112 for more information. Set Free Christian Fellowship needs a 12-15 passenger van. If you have any information on a reliable, inexpensive passenger van, please call the CRBA office at 828-437-0137. Set Free invites adults ages 18 and up to a regular time of sports and fun. Mark your calendars every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 4-8pm. We’ve got an array of activities lined up including cornhole, walking, basketball, volleyball, and live music to keep the energy high!  Summit Community Church – invites you to join them for a Pricilla Shirer Simulcast. There is no cost to you to attend. The doors will open at 8:30 am and the simulcast will begin at 9:00am.
