Here is the link to the quick form. https://form.jotform.com/252114138154145 Timothy Project  The Timothy Project gathered again recently, and we were grateful to have Pastor Ethan Cromer teaching our students on the Baptist Faith and Message and the importance of understanding what we believe as Baptists/Christians. It was a meaningful time of learning and discussion as these young men and women explored the foundational truths of our faith.It is always encouraging to see students who sense God’s call to vocational ministry sitting under the teaching of faithful pastors and learning alongside their mentors. We are thankful for the investment our pastors continue to make in the next generation of ministry leaders, and we look forward to seeing how God will continue to shape and use these students for His glory. Men’s Ministry Training  Thank you, Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, for hosting the recent men’s ministry training for our churches. Their hospitality was wonderful, and the food was excellent.We are also grateful for the helpful training provided by Mark Abernathy from Baptists on Mission. His practical insights were a great encouragement to those seeking to strengthen men’s ministry in their churches.Thank you to everyone who participated. Family Pine Car Challenge  Pine Car Challenge Celebrates 50 Years of Ministry and Community This past Saturday marked a very special milestone as we gathered for the 50th Anniversary of the Pine Car Challenge, a tradition that has brought churches, families, and our community together for five decades. What began as a simple event has grown into a meaningful ministry that continues to encourage creativity, fellowship, and Christ-centered community among participants of all ages.Over the past 50 years, countless children, parents, and church leaders have built cars, shared laughter, and made lasting memories through this event. The Pine Car Challenge has become more than a race; it has been an opportunity to build relationships, mentor young people, and strengthen connections between our churches and the community.We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Phillip Heavner, who has faithfully led and supported this ministry throughout these 50 years. His dedication, leadership, and heart for serving others have helped make the Pine Car Challenge a cherished tradition for so many families. We are also grateful to Oak Ridge Baptist Church for graciously hosting this year’s event and providing a wonderful space for everyone to gather and celebrate. Since the inception of South Mountain Baptist Camp in 1957 in the South Mountains of North Carolina, the goal was to provide an environment that fosters spiritual growth through disconnecting from the world so as to connect with God. Time in nature, being exposed to new skills, and making friends, enables children, teenagers, and adults to learn about Jesus Christ and the message of salvation. South Mountain seeks to keep camp affordable for everyone and offsets the cost of camp by around $100 per camper since it’s estimated that the cost of South Mountain’s summer camp is $205 per week and the true cost of camp is over $300 per week. Proceeds from each race goes directly to the camp’s operating budget. This race celebrates God’s work through South Mountain and the ability to experience a great, low-cost camp.
